Art with a Purpose

"Pebbles perfectly captured the joy my dog Biscuit felt being at the lakeshore with me. I can feel that joy every time I look at the painting"

"I love the painting of Darcy. It captures her spirit along with her personality. Best dog ever and this pastel will help me remember that forever."

"Pebbles painting of my Labrador Retriever, Duke, is amazing. At first glance, I thought it was a photograph. On closer inspection of the details around his eyes did I learn it was a painting. It is cherished by me, it is on my desk, and it’s like Duke is sitting there waiting to play and tell me how much he loved me.!"

"While Roxalene's (Pebbles) long-standing status as my "North Star" might suggest a personal bias, at my advanced age, I assure you my perspective is now more critical than ever.
I have followed her artistic endeavors for years and can attest to the phenomenal progress she has made. Her initial works were wonderful, but her most recent compositions demonstrate superior definition and heartfelt emotion that most artists never attain.
Being a "dog person" may aid her development on this pursuit, but the ability to truly capture the spirit of her animal subjects is the extra spark that sets her apart. I was recently blessed with a wonderful pastel that truly captures the personality of my Great Pyrenees, Zoey, and my Border Collie, Harry.Lucky me!"

Many artists paint beautiful paintings. Many capture the features perfectly on a person or an animal or on a still life. Onlookers say, “Oh wow, that looks just like...!” Yes, some paintings look just like photographs. However, only a few capture personality; Pebbles Wadsworth captures personality. She painted each one of my dogs with what I would call their trademarks.
Digby, my wired haired dachshund is a jokester. He can fool me with his endearing gamin-like, but sometimes, serious face into letting me think he desperately needs a treat or he will starve. Look at how Pebbles portrayed him, he has that serious face, but his next move would be one of nudging me until he gets my attention. She knows my Digby.
Then there is my Sybil, my chiweenie, my part time dear, but often, ferocious little girl. Pebbles knows her sweet side, she painted her with the face Sybil makes just before she becomes an attack dog. Pebbles knows my Sybil.
Then there is sweet darling Ellie. With her big brown eyes and her I love you look, Ellie is thankful to have been adopted by my family. Her softness and gratitude is so adeptly depicted in her painting. Pebbles knows my Ellie.
An artist often is like a poet; they produce feelings in their words or images. Pebbles does just that.

"Pebbles Wadsworth is an extraordinary pastel artist and a lifelong friend whose love for dogs and nature radiates through everything she creates.
The portrait she painted of my Great Dane is wonderfully whimsical-full of charm, personality, and playful expression that captures her spirit in a way only Pebbles could. In contrast, the flower painting she created for me is beautifully refined, showcasing her delicacy of touch, her mastery of color, and her deep appreciation for the natural world.
Originally from the East Coast, Pebbles has dedicated her life to promoting the arts and enriching the creative community around her. Her talent, generosity, and passion are evident both in her artwork and in the friendships she nurtures. I am honored to have her art in my home and even more grateful to call her a friend."

"I cannot thank Pebbles enough for the beautiful pastel portrait of my beloved dog, Chuy. Losing Chuy was hard but seeing him captured with such detail brings me joy. The colors of his face, the expression in his eyes and the way every feature was rendered brought his spirit back to life. I am so grateful for Pebble’s compassion and talent.
If you are looking for an artist who can capture not just a likeness but a soul, look no further!"
